What is it: The desert features about 4,000 windmills generating energy utilizing the near constant winds that funnel through the Banning pass into the desert. There are some windmills tours in the desert which can give peoples close-up views of the windmills while answering various questions about the mills. Where: Stretching from Banning to the desert areas near Edom Hill.
