Just hours after Adele returned to social media with a rare photo, the black dress the singer was wearing sold out online.

On Wednesday, the Hello singer shared her first Instagram post of 2020 to celebrate her 32nd birthday.

In the photo, Adele can be seen wearing a black mini dress with puff long sleeves and smiling as she stands inside a giant floral arch outside her Los Angeles home.

“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives!” the singer captioned the photo. ”You are truly our angels.

“2020 okay bye thanks x.”

In addition to prompting an outpouring of support and birthday wishes for the star, the photo also inspired fans of the singer to purchase the little black dress Adele chose for the photo, which People noted is designed by Amsterdam-based design label Elzinga and retails for $604.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the last size of the “Balloon-sleeve silk-organza mini dress” has sold out, according to the designer’s website.

“The blouson silhouette of Elzinga’s black mini dress is a key shape for AW19 and a playful way to tap the trend,” the dress’s description reads. “It’s crafted from silk organza with a pintucked and darted bodice creating a slim fit, then back sash ties and exaggerated arms which are cuffed with bevelled-gem buttons to add a dramatic tone. Wear it with zebra-print sandals to heighten the maximalist appeal.”

On Instagram, the designer, Lieselot Elzinga, was among those who wished Adele a happy birthday, before thanking her for wearing the dress.

“Happy birthday Adele,” Elzinga wrote. “Thank you for wearing our balloon-sleeve dress for the occasion!”
