'Let everyone know we broke the internet': Tommy Lee is 'looking forward' to new series about his sex tape with Pamela Anderson

Tommy Lee has shared that he is 'looking forward' to the new series about his and Pamela Anderson's sex tape.

The Mötley Crüe drummer, 59, apparently told his pal Guerin Swing about the new show, confirming he will be tuning in: 'Let everyone know we did it first. Before the Kardashians, before anyone else. Let the mother-f***ers know, we broke the internet first.'

The new Disney+ series will star Lily James as Pamela, while Sebastian Stan will play Tommy.

Guerin dished to The Sun about his old pals and said of the video: 'It’s essentially them just being kids, goofing with a video camera, a new toy. Tommy never showed me or anyone the video. He never talked bad about Pam. It wasn’t for anyone else to see.'

Pamela, 54, meanwhile, has said she will not be watching the series, and attributes the tape to the breakdown of their marriage.

Guerin said: 'I saw Pamela last month. We’ve stayed in contact. Tommy and Pam’s attitude to the show is, why dredge this up? But they get that it’s popular culture and what happens when you’re famous. It was the first celebrity sex tape.'

MailOnline has contacted Tommy's representatives for further comment

Last year, insiders claimed to The Sun that Pam thinks Pam & Tommy is 'a joke and cheap knock-off.'

She reportedly called the show 'God awful,' though the series had just begun filming, and she apparently claimed she had never heard of Lily or Sebastian.

The source said Pamela had 'no intention of watching this God awful show, absolutely not. Never.'

The tape became public when it was advertised on the internet by porn actor turned electrician Rand Gauthier, played by Seth Rogen in the series, and was distributed.

The Internet Entertainment Group (IEG) then created paid access online earned almost £60million with the founder Seth Warshavsky being described as a 'pioneer.'

Lily has told this month's Porter Magazine about playing the role of the Playboy model: 'It provoked an internet and celebrity culture that, now, I believe is just way out of hand.

'There is no such thing as privacy now. […] We’re constantly sharing our lives – with an audience that doesn’t really care about you.

'And giving away information to corporations using it for profit. I know a time before that happened, but there are young girls who have no idea.'

Lily shocked fans when she was seen on set with her uncanny resemblance to the Baywatch star.

She continued by discussing the prejudice Pamela faced, saying: 'When you look back at some of her interviews from the 1990s, the misogyny is so striking.

'I mean, it’s changed so much, but… I think it’s more hidden now, perhaps? Anyway, there was a lot in it that I found I could relate to.'

The new trailer, released on Thursday, begins with Lily attending a deposition where she is asked about her relationship with Tommy Lee.

'Did you know anything at all about Mr. Lee before you met him?' she is asked, to which she replies 'I knew he was the drummer, from Motley Crue,' she replies.

'Did you find him attractive?' she is then asked, as a swooning Lily replies, 'I liked his smile.'

Viewers are then given a glimpse of the making of the sex tape as Sebastian, in character as Tommy, sets up their camcorder before joining Pamela in bed.

'To everlasting love!' he is heard saying as he kisses his wife.
