An array of androidal fashion models, stepping straight out of Luc Besson's The Fifth Element and onto the catwalk of the London Fashion Week. Lukira has more on the work of Indian fashion designer Manish Arora's showing:

Arora lived up to his reputation when he presented a vibrant autumn-winter 2007 collection, a futuristic vision set out in technicolor that wowed the audience. With remote planets, flora and fauna straight out of the designer's imagination, robots, rockets and astronauts, Arora depicted an ultra-modern future rife with sharp colours. For the occasion, even the accompanying mannequins had the air of androids.

I love such absurdist fashion. It's like writing a book in an alien language no one's ever meant to read.
