Sauce-boat

1903-04
Glazed porcelain, 13 x 28 cm
British Museum, London

This gravy boat is made of hard-paste porcelain. The vessel, handle and base form a single thick-walled piece, with a bold diagonal line from handle to base. A band of underglaze blue decoration on a white ground encircles the rim.

The piece was produced in the Meissen Porcelain Factory.
