This canyoneering experience takes you into this wilderness where you’ll uncover some of its most beautiful areas. You'll feel like you've escaped reality for an adventure on an alien planet!
Follow your expert guide out into the Goblin Valley State Park, named for the mushroom-shaped “hoodoo” rock formations. You’ll slip into a twisting slot canyon where you’ll discover the various sandy hues shifting on the walls, as well as barrier-style pictograph panels. As you scramble along, you'll encounter potholes, natural bridges, and hanging gardens. This adventure is a geography lover’s dream! Your guide will provide fascinating cultural and geographical insights. Your canyoneering tour leads to the Occulus, a Navajo sandstone arch that you can choose to rappel down—a staggering 90-feet down!
This 5-6 hour canyoneering experience is led by an expert guide who will provide safety instructions as well as the fundamentals of rappelling and canyoneering before you head off into your adventure. They are also on site to answer any questions or address any concerns that may come up. All necessary gear is provided, including snacks, so all you need to bring is your adventurous spirit!
