2. Perak Tong Cave Temple

Perak Tong Cave Temple is the most famous cave temple in Ipoh. The temple sits at the bottom of a massive limestone hill, which became the entrance into the Perak Tong Cave Temple.

3. Sam Poh Tong Temple

4. Perak Guan Yin Tong Cave Temple

Another temple located at Gunung Rapat. Guan Yin Tong is believed to be the goddess of mercy, which this temple is dedicated to. There are 75 statues of Guan Yin built in the temple. They also build an area that is designed like a Japanese wishing mountain. There’s also belief, where people who make a wish and succeed in taking steps from one stone to the other end, your wish will be fulfilled.

5. Ling Sen Tong Temple

Ling Sen Tong is famous for its red pillars, yellow-tiled roofs and blue walls. There’s also a statue that stands before its entrance as if guarding the temple. That is where the name Ling Sen Tong came from, with the meaning of ‘ Rock of Heavenly Spirits’. Among the statues, you can see one from the infamous Chinese tale’ Journey to the West’ character, The Monkey King, as well as 12 animal Chinese zodiacs.

Huat Tian Keong Temple is one of the major tourist and local attractions. 7. Nam Thean Tong Temple

One of the oldest temples in Ipoh. They are known for their huge statue of Taishang Laojun (太上老君), One famous Chinese philosopher. Inside you will also be able to see a quite number of eye- catching murals that have been painted directly into the cave rock.

8. Dong Hua Cave Temple

Known as to be the most well preserved, clean and well maintained temples in Malaysia, Doang hua Temple became one of the most visited cave temples. They also have a lovely landscape garden on the other side of the cave which is very serene, calm and peaceful.

9. Wat Puthanimittam Temple

Wat Puthanimittam Temple located beside a hillside. This Thai Buddhist temple takes pride for its 10 meter high Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the seated lotus position which is guarded by a pair of Chinese-style green dragons. Not only that, the temple also contains a number of other statues such as the reclining Buddha, Bronze seated Gautama Buddha Statue, and some other meaningful statues.

10. Tai Pak Koong Temple

A historical temple and a hidden gem temple you should visit. The temple dedicates themself to the God of Prosperity. The temple contains some interesting and unique features and old artifacts.From the pond filled with koi carp, there's also a wonderful fountain in the shape of a dragon. On either side of the entrance there are pairs of statues of lions acting as the guard.

11. Kallumalai Arulmigu Subramaniyar Temple

Kallumalai Arulmigu Subramaniyar Temple has the perfect South Indian architecture outside the temple grounds. It is one of the biggest Murugan Temples in Malaysia, located in Ipoh.

12. Da Seng Ngan Cave Temple

Da Seng Nganonce discovered century-old artifacts such as copper statues, urns and ceramics. On the entrance, you will be greeted by an 8 and half meter Buddha who watches over the entrance. When you go inside the temple’s area, you will be able to find a lineup of golden buddha statues that are beautifully reflected in the pond. The unique thing is that there is a shop selling books and CDs on Buddhism in the rear part of the cave.

13. Miao Yuan Chan Lin Thai Temple

Miao Yuan Chan Lin Thai temple is another hidden gem temple in Ipoh. Another Cave temple resides silently in Ipoh but has a beautiful colorful shrine inside. The shrine is decorated with neon lights housing 7 Buddhas with different postures. Beside the shrine, there was a huge golden laughing Buddha statue which was surrounded by water.
