Fully redesigned for 2021, the Kia Sorento is one of the few small crossover SUVs to feature three rows of seating, along with plenty of cargo space. Sorento Trim Levels

For 2021, the Kia Sorento is available in six well-appointed trims. You can choose the entry-level LX, which offers many features generally only found in higher-spec models, or step up to the S trim with its additional comforts. The EX features a more powerful engine and added driver-assistance technologies. 

Going with the SX gets you a touch of panache and more high-tech features. You'll really stand out in the SX Prestige, which envelops you in elegant sophistication. The range-topping SX Prestige X-Line offers unique exterior trim and bumpers, along with standard AWD.

Interior Space and Comfort

Inside, the Sorento's spacious, contemporary cabin offers seating for up to seven people, or six with the available second-row captain's chairs. Unlike other vehicles in its class, the Sorento offers ample space for adults in the second and third rows. 

There's no shortage of room for all the gear you need for your adventures. Even with a full complement of passengers, you have a 12.6-cubic-foot load space behind the third row. Folding the third-row seats flat gives you 45 cubic feet of space for your gear, and with the second row folded, you get an impressive 75.5-cubic-foot cargo area. 

The dual-level cargo floor enables you to carry taller items or hide your valuables out of sight. EX models and above feature a Smart Power Liftgate that opens automatically when your Smart Key is detected, making it easy to load up when your hands are full.

The LX offers stylish fabric upholstery, a six-way adjustable driver's seat, a four-way passenger seat, a 60/40 split-folding second-row bench, and 50/50-split folding and reclining third-row seats. The second row has a one-touch sliding function to provide easy access to the rear seats.

In the S trim, you'll find plush SynTex simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat. The EX adds second-row reclining captain's chairs, while the SX offers an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat. The SX Prestige features supple embossed and perforated leather upholstery and ventilated front seats, while the top-of-the-range SX Prestige X-Line adds lumbar adjustment for the front passenger seat.

Feature-Rich Cabin

Standard features in the Sorento LX cabin include remote keyless entry, air conditioning with rear vents, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, and technical embossing accent trim. With the S trim, you get the convenience of Smart Key entry with remote start and push-button start. Additional interior features include dual-zone automatic temperature control and a leather-bound steering wheel and gear-shift handle.

The EX adds classy open pore wood accent trim, while the SX offers LED interior and map lighting, chrome door handles, and stylish metal texture accent trim. In the SX, you can enjoy the added light and fresh air provided by the panoramic sunroof with its power sunshade. The SX Prestige features an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a heated steering wheel.

State-of-the-Art Technology Features

The well-equipped LX trim features a 4.2-inch driver information display with an array of functions at your fingertips. The infotainment system includes an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system. Two 12-volt power outlets and six USB ports ensure that everyone can keep their devices charged and connected.

The S trim adds a wireless phone charger, UVO link remote connectivity, satellite radio, and two additional USB ports in the second row. Stepping up to the SX trim gets you a 10.25-inch touch screen, a voice-activated navigation system, and Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free calling and multi-device media streaming. The SX Prestige offers a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a Bose 12-speaker premium surround sound system for concert-hall-quality sound.

Driver Assist and Safety Technologies

To keep your family safe on the road, all Sorento models come standard with Kia Drive Wise. This suite of driver-assistance technologies includes forward-collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane following assist, lane keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and driver attention warning.

Helping to keep you on track are electronic stability control, traction control, torque vectoring control, and hill start assist. You also get high beam assist and a rearview monitor with dynamic parking guidance. If you need to install child seats, both the  both the second and third rows feature the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system.

With the S trim, you also get blind-spot monitoring with parallel exit assist, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear parking sensors, and safe exit assist for rear-seat passengers. The EX trim features adaptive cruise control with stop and go, plus forward collision avoidance-assist with cyclist detection and junction turning. The SX adds highway driving assist, while the SX Prestige offers a blind view monitor, front parking sensors, parking collision avoidance-assist, and a surround view camera system.
