Kazuyoshi Nomachi
Mr. Nomachi has covered the Middle East, Asia, and South America on a global scale, focusing on the lives and beliefs of people surviving in harsh climates. The various world heritage sites he has documented, such as magnificent nature, austere sacred sites, and a variety of ruins and buildings, appeal to the viewer's heart.
This exhibition presents 215 of Nomachi's photographs taken over his 50-plus years of experience as a photographer, and explores the appeal of his work.

2. Kazuyoshi Nomachi Talk: "Talking about 'From Beyond the Horizon"
Date: Saturday, August 5, 14:00-16:00
Venue: Museum Hall
Capacity: 300 people on a first-come, free of charge
3. Photography Experience with Kazuyoshi Nomachi at Makino Botanical Garden
Date: Sunday, August 6, 10:00 - 15:30
Venue: Makino Botanical Gardens, Kochi Prefecture (meet and disband at site)
Capacity: 12 pairs of 24 people from 3rd grade elementary school to high school and their parents
Fee: 1,000 yen per couple (includes entrance fee to the Botanical Garden)
4. Capturing “Shapes" with Sunlight Photography
Date: August 19 (Sat), 26 (Sat) (Children's class) 10:00-12:00, (Adult class) 14:00-16:30
Venue: Kochi Prefectural Art Museum Lecture Room and Creative Arts Room
Capacity: (Children's Class) 10 pairs of 20 children from 3rd grade of elementary school and their parents or guardians (Adult Class) 10 junior high school students and older and their parents or guardians
Fee: (Children's class) 1,000 yen per couple, (Adult class) 2,000 yen per couple
5. Gallery Talk by Curator
Date & Time: July 22 (Sat), August 11 (Fri), 13 (Sun), September 23 (Sat) from 14:00
Meeting place: In front of the entrance of Kazuyoshi Nomachi Photo Exhibition Hall 1
