Professor Brian Edward Cox CBE FRS was born on March 3, 1968 in Oldham, Lancashire and is a physicist and former musician.

He is a professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester and The Royal Society Professor for Public Engagement in Science.

Brian has also forged an incredible career as a radio and TV presenter.
