JOHNNY Depp and Vanessa Paradis were one of celebrity’s hottest couples during their long relationship.
While they had two children together they never actually married.

The couple “have amicably separated,” Johnny Depp’s publicist said in a statement released to Entertainment Tonight in July 2012.
They added: “Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”
Back in July 2020, in a witness statement relating to the court battle between Depp and Amber Heard, Vanessa Paradis said she had known the star for more than 25 years, including 14 years together.
In her statement, the model said she was aware of the allegations but said it was "nothing like the true Johnny I have known".

She added: "I can say he was never violent or abusive to me.
"I have seen that these outrageous statements have been really distressing, and also caused damage to his career because unfortunately people have gone on believing these false facts.
"This is so upsetting as he has helped so many persons in his personal and professional life, with kindness and generosity."

How long were Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis married for?
Depp met Paradis while he was filming The Ninth Gate, directed by Roman Polanski, in France in 1988.
According to a report in People, Depp saw the French actress sitting with a group of friends at the bar of the Costes Hotel in Paris, where he was having dinner with colleagues.
Depp had a friend invite her over, and they talked for two hours.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said, “She was wearing a dress with an exposed back and I saw that back and that neck, and then she turned around and I saw those eyes, and - boom!”
Depp and Paradis announced that they had separated in June 2012.
It’s thought the strain of having conflicting schedules played a part in their split.
He told Rolling Stone: “Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I’m in because you’re constantly away or they’re away and so it’s hard.
"It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids.”
“The trajectory of that relationship – you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another.
"So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids, and you’ll always know each other, and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it."
The couple never married.
Paradis described the reason for never tying the knot in an interview with Elle, saying: “I love the romance of ‘let’s get married,’ but then, when you have it so perfect… I mean, I’m more married than anybody can be – we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it’s something I can really do without.”

Their son, John Christopher "Jack" Depp III, was born in 2002.

He added: You cannot plan the kind of deep love that results in children.
