The genus Corynactis contains many species, but the validity of most of them is still unknown. Corynactis carnea is a common species often occurring along Pacific and Atlantic coasts of South America,
Corynactis californicais commonly referred to as Strawberry anemone. Difficulty in the aquarium: There are no reports available yet that this animal has already been kept in captivity successfully. A aquarium size of at least 112 Liter is recommended. Toxicity: Toxic hazard unknown.
