Fire crews contain 5 acre vegetation fire east of Cottonwood

Crews are responding to a five-acre vegetation fire that is burning about five miles east of Cottonwood.

The fire was reported Wednesday near the intersection of Parkville Road and Ash Creek Road. It is burning at a slow rate of spread, according to scanner communications. 

The blaze was first reported around 7:10 p.m. It was reported to be contained around 7:40 p.m., according to scanner communications.
