My new-to-me oddball Pepper White Checkmate. Every factory option less Navigation(Chrono Pack instead), and full JCW package(s).

The blue checkmates with the silver roof make sense, since the interior is blue/silver. I'm not 100% sure why someone would order one in Pepper White, but oh well, it's mine now lol

Yes it is. But you can make the decals whatever color you want. Just part of the fun.

Hey all, been a proud checkmate owner since this past summer (2014) of my first Mini - an '06 checkmate. Had the stickers removed as I'm not a big fan of vinyl on any car. 42k original miles (now 49k) with a LONG list of mods including WMW 17% pulley & belt, ATI Super Damper crank pulley, Screamin Demon Ignition, Kingsborne Red Plug wires, DDM CAI, DDM Intercooler Diverter, NGK colder plugs, full supercharger service with new gaskets and WMW supercharger belt damper bushings, Mini OEM cabrio cross braces (blue), Cravenspeed Helix short shifter, Cravenspeed Red Tow hooks front and rear, Powerflex polyurethane front control arm bushings, Cravenspeed Z bracket and gauge cup holder, Autometer 20psi ultra-lite boost gauge, milltek non-res catback exhaust, Mini JCW shorty antennae, Outmotoring blackout belt line, black door handles, black headlight & taillight surrounds, Plasti-Dipped gas cap and scuttles (not in pics as I just did them & pics are 2 weeks old) and tomorrow installing RMW 450cc injectors and getting a custom RMW tune @ Helix Motorsports, full Stoptech stage 2 brake upgrade, custom painted calipers (stock/red), A-Spec black mesh wheels 17x7 w/Bridgestone Driveguards, WMW 5mm hub centric spacers, Factory OEM mini trim painted "Hyper Blue" to match, Outmotoring front & rear tinted side markers, Llumar 35% tint all around, DDM Red silicone air intake hose, DDM red silicone intercooler boots, smoked side scuttle lights w/Amber bulbs, JCW-style honeycomb hood and bumper grilles, GROM iPod integration kit w/Bluetooth for factory Harmon Kardon stereo, and coming soon; Koni FSD suspension, strut tower defenders (T/B/D on brand), and H sport front and rear anti sway bars. That's a lot of mods for a car I just got and everything was stock when I purchased the car. Can't wait for the tune and suspension! Replace seats with leather

While at a local Katzkin installer about leather seats for my R59 I also asked about my 2006 MCS Checkmate.

Katzkin can closely match the colors of the Checkmate interior. For $1400 plus tax they can replace the existing seats, front and rear, with new all leather 2 tone versions.

Very tempting.

Look up your VIN online and see if your build sheet lists P7ANA MINI Checkmate on it. Also, if you have the two tone cloth/leather seats, steering wheel, and space blue dash, Checkmate door sills and window logos, it probably is. It would cost a lot to add all that to a regular S, or it would have to been transplanted from a real Checkmate.

Yes it has all the logos, the seats and the colors. I have not checked the vin. It would be rediculous to go threw all that adding, just to make it a fake check mate.

Well, I believe I am selling my beloved checkmate.

I just passed 51k miles and now we need a 4dr as our step daughter just had a baby.

The car is near perfect and rust free...

I'll post an ad soon. What does it need to be perfect? Rear washer nozzle clogged, pass front washer nozzle has one side clogged, mild stone chips on hood... that's it.

Everything else is perfect and working...

I figure I'll drive my supra in the summer then sell that too. Just need a family car.

I too just sold my checkmate. Had more problems with him. After a $9400 transmission job, numerous fans. To fix the drivers side airbag, lower control arm bushings, power steering lines, needed new tires, and brakes, ect, ect... Another $5000 was just too much. I too picked up a four door with a full warranty. I wish you all the best.

Looking for a 2006 Checkmate with factory JCW (including LSD and JCW brake kit). Non-sunroof is a plus. Must be Space Blue.

Please send pm if you know of any with this configuration. Thanks!

Hello all, I didn't know this was a club. Haha. I acquired my mini last year around August and was glad to own it, checkmate being a plus. I love it and though I think I've been working on my car at least once a month just doing some nitpick things due to it being at 80k now I love it. I currently have a wmw 17% pulley and a bsh? lower motor mount, and plan to have many more things to come once I can get my wallet to agree. Pictures are in my profile. :]

I picked up my Checkmate this past summer with out knowing that it was a special edition. This car was my last choice out of the Ton I looked at, but the blue and silver combo got me, and I picked it up for a steal. First pic is when I picked it up, second is after a lot of work

Surprised to see a checkmate thread. I just picked up mine...Space Blue 2006 with 74k miles, LSD, Harmon Kardon, Heated Seats, Chrono gauges, Chrome package. Have been looking for a 2006 R53 for a long time and the one I found just happened to have the package. I'll start a thread in the build area when I start working on it. I plan on de-chroming some of this as it is a bit much for me.
