Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations has created a special edition Range Rover Sport SVR that speaks to the division's ability to customize SUVs the company builds. The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimae employs new paintwork options, a refined exterior and a tailored interior.
The British automaker sees increased personalization options as being a key to the current and future success of the business, "Range Rover Sport SVR redefined Land Rover high-performance capability when it was introduced in 2014," said Mark Turner, the commercial director of Land Rover SV Bespoke.
"We've sold more than 20,000 examples to date and demand for the SVR's characterful mix of power, luxury and thrilling dynamics continues to grow every year. The SV Bespoke personalization features of this Ultimate edition elevate its appeal even further."
Buyers can get their Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimae in their choice of three hand-finished paint colors: Maya Blue Gloss, Marl Grey Gloss or Ligurian Black Satin. The gloss colors are exclusive to the Ultimae and feature reflective white glass flake particles mixed into the solid base coat, giving the car what Land Rover describes as a "star-like sparkle".
Each color option is paired with a Navrik Black contrast roof. The hood and liftgate of the model wear black knurled Range Rover lettering while the SUV's edging and front fender accents are tipped in Fuji White.
The SUV features a body-colored carbon fiber vented hood, 22-inch five split-spoke forged alloy wheels and black brake calipers.The Navrick Black roof matches the SUV's door mirror caps, grille, grille surround, front wing detail and liftgate finishers.
Under the hood is a 575-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 516 pound-feet of torque. The engine moves the car from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. This SUV has a top speed of 176 mph.
The interior of the model has been upgraded by the SV Bespoke team to include chrome-finished SV Bespoke B-pillar badges, black anodized metal gearshift paddles and Ultimate edition illuminated treadplates. Land Rover recommends the Ebony and Cirrus interior color and upholstery scheme on the model, which incorporates SCR_embossed lightweight Performance Seats wrapped in Windsor leather.
The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate edition is now available to order via Land Rover retailers worldwide, priced from $141,600.
