Pornhub recently announced a new app called TrickPics, intended to be the unofficial “Snapchat of nudes.” Available for iOS and Android right now, the app allows users to add filters to any image. But since this is Pornhub we’re talking about, the filters, which include a “trouser snake” and “knock knockers,” just so happen to make more sense on a nude body. Although TrickPics doesn’t contain the means to send photos to other users within the app, it’ll save the upgraded nudes to your phone so you can send them to “lovers and friends” through any medium you’d like.

To learn more about TrickPics, we talked via email with Pornhub Vice President Corey Price, who says the new app has already been downloaded more than 60,000 times.

Men's Health: Why aren’t there any mentions of nudity on the iTunes description for the app? The branding seems relatively tame, considering its intended use and the press release.

Corey Price: The app is intended to be used to create and send pictures with creative and fun filters over body parts. There is no nudity involved, so we felt it best to not include anything about it in the description.

MH: Will you continue to roll out new filters, similar to Snapchat?

CP: Yes, and we’re already going to be releasing new image filters in the near future with future releases of the app. We already have some others in the works.

MH: Have there been any discussions with porn companies about sponsored filters?

CP: No, not yet. At present we are remaining laser focused on delivering an excellent product.

MH: Why should someone use this when, unofficially, they can still send nudes via Snapchat?

CP: Most social media platforms have stringent polices that prohibit users from “expressing themselves creatively.” TrickPics, on the other hand, encourages this. Also, and perhaps more importantly, we have some really cool filters that we created especially for this purpose, like “Hand Solo,” “Knock Knockers,” and “My Precious.” Who wouldn’t want those?

MH: What kind of protections are in place to ensure users’ privacy?

CP: If you’re asking if we are storing or intercepting the images used in the same way that other apps do, we do not. The app was specifically designed this way. Users create their images with the app directly on their phone and stay there until they share them on the platform or with the recipient of their choosing.

MH: Are there any efforts to get Pornhub community users onto the app, especially those with their own following?

CP: The app is made for all of our users, however, we think it will appeal most to our millennial users, who are most familiar with how Snapchat works and the concept of using photo filters.
