What Owners are Saying About the 1996 Chrysler LHS
"Good solid car"
"We've driven this car since 1996 when we bought it as a rental sale with 24,000 miles. Since we new the car had been probably driven hard we optioned the 50K warrenty. At 73,000 miles the transmission failed which cost $100 out of pocket to replace. Except for a chassis computer replacement in 2002 and one dead battery the car has started every day and is running well passing through 130,000. A new paint job is in the works. Roomy enough for 6 footers in the back and a trunk truely big enough for the kitchen sink. The V6 cruises effortlessly except on the steepest grade, and stops like the day we got it. It is starting to show it age however and will soon need a few extra maintenance trips besides the things you would normally encounter in most cars. We still get 24-26 at 70mph and 30 at 60mph. 15-18 arround town. Very happy owner."
"almost the perfect car"
"Has almost everything: room for up to 6, good sized trunk, luxury touches (leather, electric seats, good sound system, auto climate control...), reasonably good performance and handling, etc. Only downsides: a bit large (it was their limo after all) and not so great gas mileage (i average around 21-22, 24-25 on long trips)."
"i would reccomend this car to anyone!"
"This is my first car i have ever owned, im 19 years old, and over the past 4 years i have seen my family go through cars like underwear! so i did some research when buying my first car. so i decided upon the 97 Chrysler LHS, and im glad i did! i bought it when it had 143,505 and i have had it for about 3 months now, and not one single problem! and im a teenager, so i drive it rough! and it has held up. i would buy this car again if they still made them. even my parents wish they bought this car instead of me!"
