Though we will gladly indulge in documentary series about cheerleaders, true crime, and chaotic roadside zoos, this multipart event about '90s supermodels especially piques our interest. Aptly titled The Supermodels, the new show heading to Apple TV+ will focus on the careers of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington.

Starring and providing interviews, the models are also executive producers on the project, according to Deadline. Roger Ross Williams and Larissa Bills will direct the feature, and further exec producers include Ron Howard and Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), Sara Bernstein (The Inventor), and Justin Wilkes (What Happened, Miss Simone?).

The supers took to Instagram right when news of the series broke, offering much to look forward to.

"My sisters Christy, Linda, Cindy and I are extremely thrilled to share our story with the world and there could be no better partners than Brian Grazer, Ron Howard which is a dream come true to bring it to life, as we knew they would respect and honor our story," Campbell wrote. "We hope our journey seen in the docuseries will encourage, motivate and inspire young people around the world. We look forward to this great adventure ahead with director Barbara Kopple."

Crawford added, "I'm excited to reunite with my friends to both celebrate and examine the way supermodels transcended the traditional perceptions and limits of modeling in the fashion industry through time. With the support of Imagine Documentaries and Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple, we plan to explore the dynamic personalities, and shifts in media and culture that helped shape and define this iconic era."

Evangelista wrote, "To finally have the opportunity to tell our story in collaboration with the brilliant team at Imagine, and under the direction of Barbara Kopple, is as exciting for us as we hope it will be for viewers. I would love for people to see this as a celebration of not only our individual stories, but also to the power of friendship, dreams and perseverance."

Turlington posted, "I am looking forward to looking back on this unprecedented time in fashion with these incredible women whom I have grown up with. "The Supermodels” coming to @AppleTV."

Ahead is everything we know so far about the upcoming docuseries.

It's premiering just in time for fashion month.

Per Apple, The Supermodels will be available to stream on AppleTV+ on September 20, 2023, and will provide "unprecedented access" into how the four women single-handedly "shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry."

The documentary will be a retrospective look at the height of their careers.

In a new teaser clip for the docuseries, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Linda Evangelista all sit down in front of the camera and are asked a single question: How do you define the world supermodel? See the new clip, below.
