Smooth transaction, great price and fast delivery. Replacing an almost identical item that was purchased over 10 years ago with this new cleaned up version. The old trap didn't have a way to prevent a captured mouse from pushing and escaping through the door, and sure enough a mouse captured a couple days ago (our cat brings them in) did just that. The new trap has a bar that goes across the door and slides down, preventing escape! This trap works really well, especially with peanut butter.

This is a wonderful little trap, one of the easiest live traps that I have used. This trap works great on chipmunks, rats, moles and even mice. One of the nice things about it is it's size! If you should want to euthanize the animal, the trap fits nicely in a 5 gallon bucket full of water.

Traps are ok quality over all but, the “trigger mechanism” is too sensitive and goes trap goes off prematurely with minor vibrations near it… It ridiculous,really! I had to modify to make operate for what it was intended for…!

Highly recommend.
I have two other traps and this one is my favorite. It's easy to set up and load with food. The trap door snaps open firmly and doesn't close on my hand while I'm loading food. It's large enough for to squirrels to enter easily. Very well made. The only thing i would change is the platform where the food is placed (and triggers the trap) could be a little larger.

A rat hunting I will go!
It is a humane way to trap and release rodents. They cannot chew through the mesh. The mesh is small enough that the cannot wiggle through. Its easy to operate. It is easy to clean. A rat hunting I will go. Thankyou:)

Well made
It works but I didn't realize I had to set the little bar to fall down and lock the door closed. The rat pushed his way out. I didn't get any directions with it. Also, the rat seems to get the bait without tripping the trap. I'll keep trying.

Perfect humane trap if you do it right
Several months ago our cat brought in and released a mouse that we didn't want to kill, and wound up purposely feeding every night just to keep him from chewing whole boxes of food open. After a while we found and bought a little plastic humane trap but for some reason he never went in it, even with no other food left for him. And we never actually saw him after the first day ....until just a few weeks ago, and then it was clear why he didn't go in that trap -he was never actually a mouse but a RAT (a mouse-sized baby when the cat brought him in), then he had grown FAST and was way too big to fit in that plastic jobber. So then we ordered THIS trap and WE CAUGHT HIM! Released him in an abandoned lot behind a restaurant that is sloppy with their garbage, so he'll have plenty to eat. SO ... Several months ago our cat brought in and released a mouse that we didn't want to kill, and wound up purposely feeding every night just to keep him from chewing whole boxes of food open. But rats are intelligent and fearful of new things, so I recommend this: the first couple nights, use a twist-tie to secure the door open, with food just inside the trap (not all the way to the back), so the rat can get comfortable with the trap as a food source. THEN remove the twist-tie and put the bait food (peanut butter is the perfect go-to) on the trigger platform.
