A MEISSEN PORCELAIN LARGE SHALLOW DISH. A large 19thc dish painted to the centre with birds perched on branches in a naturalistic landscape, and surrounded by insects and gilt border. Meissen crossed swords mark to base, 31cm diameter.

Rings nicely when tapped, gilding to the rim is quite rubbed in various areas.
The Meissen mark underneath, has a line which runs around part of it probably from manufacture, there is a very tiny firing crack in the centre of the mark, possibly second quality.
