1979 Aston Martin V8 Volante – RSW 7.0L

History

Constructed at Newport Pagnell in early 1979, the original build sheet shows this Volante was finished in Florida Blue coachwork with Magnolia trim, Beige Onslow carpets and off white hood specified with automatic transmission

We understand the car was fitted from new with inflatable lumbar sections to the front seats, operated by the same components used for the air horns, allowing the driver and passenger to inflate or deflate the sides of the seats to their desired level of comfort. According to our research this option is unique to this particular Volante

The first owner was G.A.Johnson Esq of Northwood, Middlesex who acquired the car through Aston Martin Sales Ltd on 16^th March 1979

Maintained extensively by marque exponents for over twenty years, this Volante was owned by a friend of RSW who maintained it correctly and without regard to expense

The engine was rebuilt by RSW in 2004 to full RSW 7.0L specification, producing 500 BHP and similar amount of torque

Fully re-painted by RSW in 2011 in the attractive Navy Blue metallic coachwork it presents in today, the Volante was recently serviced by RSW and a new set of ‘Ronal’ wheels and Michelin tires were fitted

This Volante is offered in exceptional condition throughout and offers the driver colossal torque with its 500bhp seven litre engine. With upgraded hi-fi system and comprehensive history, this properly sorted example is one of the very best available today
