Marvel's Runaways actor Julian McMahon could've been your next James Bond before Daniel Craig landed the iconic role.

It turns out that McMahon was actually in the running during the development stage of 2006's Casino Royale, and now, he's opening up about almost playing 007.

But his unsuccessful audition for the Secret Service agent hasn't particularly upset him though, as he admitted the character "should be a Brit".

Meanwhile, the Australian actor has also been offering an insight to his Runaways character Jonah and how things could alter for him in the upcoming second season.

"I think in season one, you got this almost business-like quality of Jonah, just him trying to accomplish his goal, his mission," he noted. "So what happens in season two is… that gets broken down a little bit.

"The reason it gets broken down is because his relationship with his daughter starts to develop so strongly. So he really develops these human qualities."

Marvel’s Runaways Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, January 2 at 9pm on SYFY. In the US, the second season begins streaming on Hulu on Friday, December 21.
