Cellulite-free Sarah Jessica Parker proves she can still pull off a tiny minidress at 46

All that walking around New York has paid off for Sarah Jessica Parker.

The actress proved that hitting the pavement in high heels is the best leg-toner a woman can do as she stepped out in a super-short mini-dress and high-heeled ankle boots this morning.

The busy mother-of-three stopped traffic yesterday as she stepped out in a super-short mini-dress and high-heeled ankle boots in her West Village neigbourhood.

Her pseudonym Carrie Bradshaw refuses to let age affect her impeccable style and the Sex And The City star clearly follows in the footsteps of the role that made her famous.

'I’m ageing all the time. But what can I possibly do? Look like a lunatic?' she told People magazine about her healthy approach to ageing gracefully.

Parker and her actor husband, Matthew Broderick, have three children, eight-year-old James and two-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, but she doesn't use marriage and motherhood as an excuse to wear sweat pants and trainers when she's running around doing family errands.

Despite only being 5'3", the Sex & The City star boasts some of the best legs in Hollywood and loves nothing more than accentuating them in very, very high heels from her mammoth shoe collection, which includes bank-breaking designs from Christian Louboutin and Alexander McQueen.

The actress took her passion for fashion to a whole new level in January 2010 when she became the chief creative officer for American fashion label, Halston.

'I’ll be involved down to the splitting of the atom,' she told US Elle magazine after she took the executive position.

'I can’t always tell you the exact blend of a fabric, but I figure it out,' explained Parker, who makes up with in exquisite taste what she lacks in traditional fashion industry experience.

Fortunately her new job hasn't kept her away from acting. Parker began her career as a child actress in the television series Square Pegs and has not slowed down since.

She has two films due out later this year - I Don't Know How She Does It, in which she aptly plays a Boston hedge fund manager with two young children, and New Year's Eve, a ensemble comedy with Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Robert de Niro and Zac Efron.
