Genius or separating the strong from the weak? 'Super schooner' glass is invented to help carry four beers back to a table at once
- Merivale, Lion and Ogilvy created the Super Schooner glass designed for beers
- The glass involves four individual glasses that fit together to make on schooner
- It will be launched at a Sydney pub on Wednesday night for State of Origin
Beer drinkers can rest easy knowing the dangerous task of delivering multiple drinks to their mates has been solved with the creation of the 'Super Schooner' glass.
The invention, which was the work of Merivale, Lion and Ogilvy, involves four specially designed glasses which all fit together to make one larger pint.
Once safely on the table, the individual glasses can then be pulled apart so patrons can enjoy their favourite beer.
The Super Schooner is set to make its debut at the Vic on the Park pub in Marrickville in Sydney's inner west on Wednesday night ahead of the final round of State of Origin.

The glass can be bought for $28 and can either be filled with Furphy or Byron Bay Ale.
The Super Schooner will stay on the menu at the Vic On the Park with plans to roll out the glass across other Merivale venues in Sydney soon.
While the invention will simplify carrying beers, many men were quick to announce they had no trouble with the task of holding four glasses at once.
'If you can't carry four schooners you are not an Aussie,' one commented on Facebook.
'If you can't carry four beers you shouldn't be allowed to drink them,' another said.
'If a bloke can't carry four beers he should be sitting having a g and t (gin and tonic) with the other ladies,' someone wrote.

Others were relieved the glass had finally been invented.
'This is genius! How did it take so long for someone to create this?!' One person wrote.
'For someone suffering from tiny hands, I can support this idea,' commented another.
'What a time to be alive,' said one.
'Finally science being used for something useful.'
A similar creation was launched in the UK last year by lager brand Carling.
These glasses all contained grooves on the edges which allowed them to slot together and carried away as a group of drinks.
