The Sim's franchise turned 20 this year, but we can't play the original game unless we download a version online somewhere. Doing that is risky and it doesn't work correctly half of the time anyway, plus EA is losing out on that profit they would get if they would put these games on origin or remaster them to allow them to work on newer computers. I'm going to be completely honest right now, I don't care if EA makes money on these games, but this petition is to show them that they would make money if they would make these games available.

The Sims 1, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3 all need remasters, especially The Sims 3. The Sims 3 is many people's favorite game of the franchise, if it ran well. Even on higher end computers it doesn't run well with all of the DLC playing too. I don't know everything about what is causing this issue, but other's have told me it is the engine it is running on that can't handle the game with all of the DLC. I understand why they don't want to release remasters. It is because they want us to focus on the newer games to purchase more packs. That makes sense, but when you have players wanting to play your old games you should give them that option. Yes, it would cost some money, but I feel like you would make far more than you would spend.

The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 also had really fun console versions, so why not release complete collections of these 2 games and include the story mode from the console version as an option?  This should have been done for the 20th anniversary, but my theory is that EA limited the budget for the anniversary or they weren't finished with the update that came before Eco Lifestyle...either way, more should have been done for the 1st and 2nd game for the 20th anniversary of the franchise. Now I know all of this sounds super easy to just do, but I'm sure there are issues with it, besides money and time that we don't know about. I still think it would be worth it.

Let's see if we can get the remasters that we want and deserve made for our favorite franchise.

Just a reminder. Even though we want these things, that isn't a reason to be disrespectful or rude to others, so please just treat the devs and even the fans with respect and kindness. They probably want a lot of the same things we want too. In my opinion, the reason we haven't gotten these is because of EA, not the actual dev teams. Maybe if they see a large enough list of people who want this, then they will do it. Thanks
