The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a luxury off-road vehicle with a military heritage that was designed for the rugged outdoors. New for 2017 is a G550 4x4? model with increased ride height, portal axles, and other special equipment for off-roading. The four-wheel drive G550 and G550 4x4? have a 416-hp 4.0-Liter twin turbo V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The AMG G63 is powered by a 563-hp 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, while the AMG G65 includes a 621-hp 6.0-liter V12 power plant. AMG models are matched with an AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic transmission. The 4-wheel Electronic Traction System includes a synchronized transfer case and three electrically-engaged differential locks. The G-Class is loaded with standard luxury features such as a leather interior, premium wood or carbon fiber trim, HDD navigation system, smart device integration, bi-xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, dual zone climate control, and heated/cooled power driver and passenger seats with memory.
