Fashion’s biggest night out has arrived and the stars have not disappointed. At this year’s Met Gala, invited guests were encouraged to dress to match the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibit of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” Among the sea of bejeweled crowns, rosaries, and an actual Pope, one invitee looked like she came straight from heaven: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
The model, actress, and former Victoria’s Secret Angel showed up in an ethereal caped Ralph Lauren gown that resembled stained glass windows and Ana Khouri Gioconda earrings, but it was her crystal-clear skin and literal halo that has taken our breaths away.
To create her look, makeup artist Kate Synnott prepped Rosie’s skin using Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm, and then massaged Wrinkle Warrior 2-in-1 Plumping Moisturizer and Serum into her face, neck, and décolletage while the skin was damp from steam.
Next, Synnott applied a sheer layer of Kate Somerville’s Tight’ N Cryogenic Tightening Gel over the skin, which is cold upon application and perfect for sealing “all the goodness” in and tightening the skin. To finish Rosie’s skin prep, she sprayed DermalQuench Liquid Lift all over her décolletage.
The gold circular halo that Huntington-Whiteley wore was clipped into her low silky, knotted bun, which was styled with a sleek middle part.
The model truly was channeling her former “angel” self.
