Length:14-17 cm, Wing Span:30-35 cm

Description: Pale brown lark with unique black and off-white face pattern and dark legs.
Adult: Male has broad black breast band and long "horns". Female has narrow breast band and short "horns".
Juvenile: Dark with white spots above.
Habitat: Mountain steppe, alpine meadow.
Food: Seeds, invertebrates.
Nest: Cup of grass in ground scrape.
Eggs: 23 mm, 2-4, gray-white, yellow-brown spots.
