KALAMAZOO, Mich. — About 100 gallons of sewage overflowed from a private manhole Thursday morning.
The City of Kalamazoo was first notified about the overflow around 8 a.m. at 3002 North Burdick Street, according to city officials.
Staff removed the blockage at 8:45 am., officials said.
The sewage reached the public catch basin that has since been flushed and cleaned.
Normal flow conditions in the sanitary sewer have been restored and the impacted area has been remediated.
