Donald Trump's one-of-one Lamborghini Diablo VT fetches record Rs 9.14 crore at auction

At Barrett Jackson’s latest Scottsdale auction, a unique Lamborghini Diablo VT previously owned by former US President Donald Trump fetched a record-breaking Rs 9.14 crore ($1.1 million), thus becoming the most-expensive Diablo VT model sold ever.
This sleek roadster, one of only 132 made for the US market from 1997 to 1999, is truly a one-of-one model as it was custom-ordered by Trump and painted in a special shade called Blu Le Mans, exclusively for him, thanks to his close relationship with the Italian marque, according to Barrett Jackson.What more, the manufacturer also incorporated a ‘Trump 1997 Diablo’ plaque on the door of this model on special request from Trump. Inside, the car features a striking dual-tone cream/black finish.

Underneath the striking exterior of this supercar, lies a powerful 5.7-litre V12 engine, packing a whopping 492 hp. With a 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive system, this Diablo can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 kmph.
Trump parted ways with the car in 2002, but its journey didn't stop there. In 2016, the iconic Lamborghini Diablo VT surfaced for sale on eBay, listed by a new owner who reportedly acquired it in 2005. As per the auctioneer, the car has had two owners since Trump sold it off.
