Vic has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a desire to discover the world outside.

Halvar

Halvar

Halvar - the Vikings chief and Vics father. He is known in Flake for being the strongest of all the warriors and the best javelin thrower. His first reaction towards overcoming an obstacle is to use brute strentg or violence. But Vic will often convince him to think of bravery in a different light. In doing so, they will often win in the end rather than suffering great losses.

Sven the Terrible

Sven the Terrible

Sven the Terrible is chief of the Frisons and archenemy of the Vikings. They are real pirates and even the sharks in the sea swim the other way when they see the Frisons drakkar coming. Instead of attacking foreign villages themselves, they prefer to wait until the Viking ships have set sail with their plunder. He is constantly looking for direct confrontation and there is no need to say that Vics ideas and tricks exasperate him to no end.

Ylvi

Ylvi

Ylvi, 8 years old and Vics cousin. She regularly tries to accompany her big cousin, often as a stowaway, but, as a girl, she is forced to get off. Vic can always count on her agility as well as on her two talents: an extremely refined sense of hearing and smelling. She is a nice, sweet little girl. Her charming looks and gentle voice don ́t prevent her from being a sort of „good buddy“ for Vic She vigorously defneds Vic against the other kids in the village who make fun of his scrawny build.

Ylva

Ylva

Ylva, Vics mother. She is a shrewd and clever woman who upholds her traditional role as mother and homemaker – and village leader when Halvar is off pillaging on the high seas. When her husband returns, she still gets involved in all the decisions. She deeply loves her husband, but she will always stick up for her son when Halvar gets annoyed at his son`s excessive sensitivity. It`s her who has always encouraged Vic to develop his intelligence and his imagination.

Snorre

Snorre

Snorre – a limp lazybones specialized in lonnnnnnnng siestas and constant yawning. He is constantly contradicting himself and screwing up just about everything he does. Faxe

Faxe

Faxe is incredibly strong, he is the village arm-wrestling champion. He is naive, awkward and sentimental. He is alway getting emotionally involved with somde creature, big or small. He is big-hearted, faithful giant although his intellectual capacities are rather limited. He will help Vic make his clever ideas come true.

Gorm

Gorm

Ulme

Ulme

Ulme, the bard, has an opinion about everything, whether you ask him or not. He is also totally full of himself and convinced that he is the greatest poet on the face of the earth. When he is writing a SOS message, he is incapable of going straight to the point and he loses himself in completely useless details, often forgetting the most important thing: HELLLLP!

Tjure
