Cyberdyne Systems

Description
Adds a new sponsor and logo: Cyberdyne Systems.

What Cyberdyne lacks in rocketry experience, it makes up in its revolutionary neural net based AI, Skynet(TM). It sees this as an oportunity to both improve the drones and rovers, and to further test and improve its AI in a new environment.

Rockets: 2
Difficulty: Normal

Funding: 5000 M
Research per Sol: 400
Rare Metals price: 25 M
Starting Applicants: 100
- Large rockets, but slower
- 20% research discount to Robotics techs
- 100M Funding every time a tech is researched (200M for breakthroughs)
- Androids appear in the applicant pool
- Androids eat 50% less food and cannot die of old age
- Bonus funding each Sol for using Androids

DETAILS

- Rockets carry 7000 units, or 14 colonists (more with the usual upgrades)

- Rockets take 50% longer to get to Mars. Plan ahead, since an emergency resupply takes its sweet time

- Advanced Cyberdyne "Androids" replace the game's "Biorobots", if you use Cyberdyne as a sponsor. They need half the food and take half damage from all sources, including starving, thirst, etc. (But can still be squashed by a meteor or such.) As usual, they can't reproduce.

- You start with The Positronic Brain researched right off the bat, since Cyberdyne can already build termina... err... androids

- Funding for field testing Cyberdyne androids in your colony is as follows: each Sol, the first active android is worth 10M, the second an additional 9M, and so on, until the tenth and beyond are worth only 1M each

- Own built androids do count for the funding

- 1 android per Sol appears in the applicant pool, with names like "T-45C" or "T-60B" (these are early models, it's not quite up to T-800 yet;)) They are all Adult, and have 2 random positive traits and 1 random negative trait. Trait rarity applies as usual. About half of them have a specialization.

- All androids from the applicant pool count as "Martianborn" so they can't get Earthsick and run away on the next rocket

- Androids do have sanity and needs, and CAN gain or lose traits, and/or be educated to get a specialization

- The Android trait is now available in the applicant filters under "Quirks", if you have Cyberdyne as the sponsor, so you can fine-tune if you want more of them or not. (Note that if you absolutely don't want any more, you should set the filter to reject Androids, not just no longer prefer them. If you just don't prefer them, the suits at Cyberdyne might prefer to pack a few of them on the next ship anyway, if they meet your other criteria.)

Is there a chance of this mod getting an update?
Or... can you grant permission for others to update this in your stead?

The last game update was over a year ago. And it looks suspiciously like the devs have abandoned the game to it's current state, so I doubt you'd have to worry about future game updates breaking mods again.

Behold, children, the Chron-O-John! ;)

Err... I mean... I finally had a stern talk with our board of directors, so now our Mars project is back online and our fine Cyberdyne line of Termina... err... Androids are available for field-testing on Mars once again. (A.k.a., it works flawlessly with the latest version of Surviving Mars.)

Hmm, really? I guess my memory isn't what it used to be.

You know what they say. Two things start going bad when you're old. First the eyes, and the second... I forgot what it was ;)
