Duane Bryers
The talented American artist Duane Bryers was born in 1911 in Michigan. He began drawing quite early, at the age of five, since postcards and comics were the only entertainment on the farm where he grew up. In 1958, Dwayne Bryers created his famous series about the red-haired fatty Hilda, which was very popular. The illustrations are in the pin-up style that was very popular at the time.
