Password cracker brute force

I'll start with 3 *'s. So far, we're up to 3 minutes on a password I made up. If it eventually guesses it, I'll come back and raise it to 4 *'s. Only because I still won't know if it really ran through a table or was just random digits scrolling. I believe I have a good system for password creation.

I don't even understand how this app work. How can I break a password with this app? Because I can't seem to understand what am seeing there. If my question is answered correctly, I'll come back to add another 2 star

It is trying it's best, it is trying w/ random caracters, could be cool if we could give it a list that it could try
