Many of you remember the Citroen C4 because of it’s funky advertisement showing a Transformers style Citroen C4 robot grooving away to a song. The Citroen C4 is available in hatchback and coupe form, but Citroen has developed a new notchback model for the China market as the Chinese prefer notchbacks rather than hatchbacks or coupes. Shows how important the China market is.
The new Citroen C4 notchback is called the Citroen C-Triomphe. It is based on the Citroen C4 but the longbase has been extended.
Citroen has sold over 600,000 cars in China over the past 14 years, with it’s most successful models being the ZX Fukang which is also a notchback and the Elysee. These models are also specific to the China market, like this new C-Triomphe. In 2005 alone, Citroen sales were a nice 100,000 units, a 34% increase over the previous year.

nice. very nice. too bad we don't get the sedan versions. there's the polo sedan, aveo sedan (we are finally getting this), 206 sedan etc. strange that we don't get these cars even though there is also a preference for sedans here. or,… i'm wrong and that people here actually prefer hatches?
