The Patriots’ season opener is still weeks away, but defensive tackle Davon Godchaux already has plenty to celebrate.
The Patriots agreed to a two-year, $20.8 million contract extension this week with Godchaux, who was later showered with well-wishes by his girlfriend, model Chanel Iman.
“Stay winning,” the 31-year-old wrote Wednesday in an Instagram Story. “Congratulations baby! You’ve done it again. The blessings keep flowing. I’m proud of you.”
Godchaux, 27, who originally signed with the Patriots ahead of the 2021 season, was first linked to Iman, 31, in April, when the twosome made an appearance at Coachella.
It’s unclear how or when Iman and Godchaux got together.
Iman had previously been in a relationship with Giants receiver Sterling Shepard. The pair tied the knot in March 2018 before Shepard, 29, filed for divorce in June 2021. They share two daughters: Cali Clay, 3, and Cassie Snow, 2.
Shepard’s mom, Cheri, recently vented on Instagram about Iman’s new relationship.
“Not yet, she is still married, get divorced!” Cheri responded to a commenter who had swooned over an Iman and Godchaux photo.
Recently, Iman vacationed in Lake Como, Italy, with Godchaux, who has a son from a previous relationship.
“Our trip has come to an end. It’s been an amazing off season ❤️🇮🇹 Thank you baby 🙏🏽 #lakecomo #italy,” the Victoria’s Secret alum gushed on Instagram in July.
Prior to joining the Patriots, Godchaux spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Dolphins, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
