Longtail and Fire sketch page

• Longtail is incredibly unhappy being given Firepaw as an apprentice, but also knows that it would only hurt him if something bad happened to Firepaw. Alas Longtail accepts and does genuinely put in effort to change the apprentice, though he’s always finding things to critique Firepaw about, and that’s not fun for Firepaw.
• Firepaw is surprised to learn Longtail has two older sisters - Frostfur and Brindleface. When Frostfur encounters complications in her kitting, Firepaw and Longtail help bring her water-drenched moss so that Spottedleaf can focus entirely on the kits. All four are born healthy, and Firepaw is in awe - after all this is the first time he’s ever seen newly born kits like this. These are Longtail’s kin, so the two both appreciate the newly born kits.
• When Firepaw saves the stolen kits from ShadowClan, Longtail is grateful. Firepaw realizes this is the first time Longtail has really acknowledged his work. The two get along a bit better after this, though not without Longtail still being tough on him as a mentor.
• Firepaw earns his warrior name after assisting WindClan to bring them back to the forest. Longtail feels pride in his apprentice.
• Longtail stands at Fireheart’s side when Tigerclaw is exposed as a murderer.
• Longtail is blinded in the battle with BloodClan, and though he has much work to do to adapt, Firestar is certain in making him deputy after Whitestorm is killed.
• I want their friendship to be highlighted more and for them to go from enemies to reliant partners. Firestar is always looking to make Longtail proud. He’s like a big brother to him.
