You know that deleted or lost files could be recovered through a good data recovery software. Recover My files is one such Software that will restore all your lost data efficiently.

Before we discuss this cool and easy-to-use software, here are a few tips to enhance your chances of recovering lost data:

My Files Data Recovery Software

1. To boost your chances of restoring deleted data, do not add any data to the disk drive in question as that might overwrite your lost data. This could also lead to further complications and could destroy your files for good.

2. Completely stop using the disk drive or device where all your deleted data is located. Do not install the data recovery Software on the same drive where you’d want to recover the lost files from.

Using Recover My files To Restore Lost Data

Once you initiate the Recover My files data recovery software by clicking on the desktop icon, you have a wizard screen appear before you with two options for data recovery — Recover files or Recover Drive.

Computer Recovery Procedure

Here is a generic lost files recovery guide:

1. if your deleted files have been deleted, first opt for the “Recover Files” option;
if your hard drive has become corrupt or has been formatted, first use the “Recover Drive” option, then first go for the “automated” mode, because it has been configured for providing you with the best and fastest search feature on most recovery systems.

Running the “Recover Files” search

When your hard drive is functioning perfectly, you should use the “Recover Files” option.

But:

When your individual files have been lost and/or emptied from the Windows Recycle Bin;
deleted files and the ones which have bypassed the Windows Recycle Bin;
data that has been affected and/or erased by a virus, trojan or worm;
any file with the same name which has been saved and overwritten over another important file;
files which have gotten lost or deleted due to any other unknown reason

Now, if you’d like to perform a search for your deleted or lost data, click the “Recover Files” icon, after that click “Next” to proceed further.

Note — If your deleted data issues are related to the loss of files from the entire hard drive, then go for the ‘Recover Drive’.

Using the “Recover Drive” Search Feature

The “Recover Drive” button is best clicked if you’ve any of the following scenarios:

when your hard drive has been formatted recently;

when you formatted your hard drive and reinstalled Windows;

if a Windows recovery or system restore has forced you to opt for a fresh installation of Windows and filescreated by previous user are all missing;

if a drive letter has apparently been missing;

when the hard drive is recognisable by your PC as RAW and no files are able to be read;
or any other issue has affected the complete contents of the hard drive.

Download Recover My Files and save it to a different drive, rather than where you lost your files.

Run the Recover My Files program, search your drive completely and preview all the files visible in the results on the screen.

Restore what you need.
