i have heard this place is great and given the fact they named the place after wings it should be amazing
it was not
i have had better wings at a gas station
i couldn't eat them ... we had two kinds and they were both inedible
the server tried his best
the place was a dump though and the karaoke night (which we did not know) was like nails on a chalkboard
could not wait to leave
never go here. ever
the worst resto i have ever seenHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob K.Toronto, ON15180120Sep 29, 2021
We have seen this place along Kingston Road in Between Pickering and Ajax.
We stopped in to try their hot sandwiches. I had the veal and the wife had the chicken parm. I added provolone cheese, onions, sweet peppers and breaded eggplant. The wife skipped the eggplant on her toppings. For those braver than me you can add hot peppers to the sandwich.
To start I ordered the steak cut onion rings. They came out fast, hot and crispy. As always there could have been a few more but there was enough to share.
The sandwiches came next. There was a decent amount of topping both above and below the meat. The red sauce was just enough. Others places add too much and then the bun goes mushy. This was very well done. I saved half of my sandwich for later.
As I walked it I did note $7.00 desserts and wanted to try the creame brûlée cheese cake. It was a shareable dessert with a drizzle of butterscotch syrup. The perfect accent for the meal. The place is a Pepsi not Coke place. Had it been then the meal would have been 5 stars.
The place has friendly and attentive staff. The theme is rock with prints of Rush, Tragically Hip and other on the walls. It has a spot for live music. I am sure the place rocks on those nights.
The only detraction was a few wasps that were also keen to sample our cheesecake on the patio.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha S.Toronto, ON797261Jul 28, 2020
This was definitely a favourite wing spot, with my first experience being at the Avenue Road location. We've always had a decent time here, with the exception of the last time we ordered. We called ahead to pick up wings and California Sandwiches, which are apparently affiliated. Two double orders of wings and two veal sandwiches plus fries and side sauces came up to approx. $88... so I wouldn't say it was the cheapest meal, and I would usually say it was all worth it but this last experience has had me second guessing.
Picked up the order with no problems, then got home and realized they did not include any of the dips and gravy sides that we ordered and paid for. Annoying, but not a huge deal because the food we got was still really good. Because we paid for something we did not get, we decided to call them to let them know, and I would say that the situation was really poorly handled by whoever picked up the phone. The person on the phone apologized, but then ended up saying, "sometimes these things happen, so what can we really do about it unless you come back to pick up the sauces?". At this point, we weren't close to the restaurant and we had already started eating, so we weren't going to drive another 20 minutes just for gravy. No real solution was offered to fix the problem. It really is disappointing when you spend almost $100 on food to not get everything you paid for.
Also, D&F is known for being able to order either drums or flats or mixed... when ordering, we did not get asked and ended up with drums only. Food was good, but I don't know if I'd order again because of the customer service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anthony Nalli ..Toronto, ON8706501995Dec 28, 2018First to Review
Great venue for live music! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious but the portions are not overly generous but also not unreasonable. Definitely worth a visit!

We really enjoyed our wings here! They're big and meaty. He had the dry rub salt and pepper and I had the double-dipped (fried, tossed in one sauce then put on the grill with another sauce) called Honey Boo Boo. Great! The fries are golden, skin on, and lightly seasoned. We also liked the dip.
The servers were nice, and the beer from Falcon Brewery was great. The TVs in the basement are enormous!
Loved the Rock n Roll theme and wall scenes. Looking forward to the live music with a band (5WD) tonight. Nice to have another place to see bands in the local area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Travis C.East York, Toronto, ON2721Nov 10, 2019
I will not be coming here again! I came in and opened a tab with the bartender (who was very friendly and professional). I came for the live band with a group of friends and was going to pick up the tab for 6 of us and got cut off at $25! Keep in mind i got cut off while there was people stumbling and struggling to even walk. The bartender didn't agree with the owner and was extremely apologetic and didn't agree with the decision but there was nothing he could do. Will not be coming back here and will be taking celebrations elsewhere

Every time we come here, we enjoy the food. I'm on a Keto diet right now and the dry wings and salad and the drink selections are great. The bands are great to. I've seen Eclectic Power Company, 5WD, Whisky Rose and more. All great.

I just don't understand why they would write in their menu that their items can be made gluten free if that's not the case. As a person with celiac disease, you get excited when you find a place you can order out from. When I questioned them about their fries, they said "we can't guarantee that they're gluten free". Then why is it on your menu? Needless to say, I couldn't place my order and had to leave. This is not a choice or fad way of eating for people that actually suffer the food allergy. If you can't accommodate, don't claim that you can. It's false advertising. Disappointed.
