Golden Owl for Dr. Ghislain Fourny
Lecturer and senior scientist Ghislain Fourny was awarded the Golden Owl 2020, a distinction that honours lecturers for excellent teaching.
Ghislain Fourny, lecturer and senior scientist at the Department of Computer Science, was awarded the Golden Owl 2020. The Golden Owl, an initiative by ETH Zurich's students' association VSETH, is given to lecturers who have provided exceptional teaching and encourages them to continue in this way. Each year, one lecturer from each department is selected to receive this special mark of recognition.
Dr. Ghislain Fourny holds a Master’s degree in computer science and a doctorate from ETH Zürich. His research focuses on federating the various NoSQL and SQL databases and on making databases accessible to business users, with a focus on data models and declarative querying languages.
