GNU Gtypist

GNU Gtypist is a free, text mode application that lets you learn to type by completing different lessons.

The instructions that teach you how you should place your fingers are in English, as are most of the lessons, though there are also a few lessons in Spanish.

You can also use GNU Gtypist to create custom lessons. You just have to follow a simple tutorial to understand how its scripting language works.

If you want to run a lesson in Spanish, you'll need to open a command window, then type the name of the program (gtypist.exe), a blank space, and the name of the lesson you want to do.
