wiz_of_wuz
Lockon Gold The lockon gold disk you can reinstall as many times as you like. It will only check for disk once a week with the 1.11 patch. The DL version does have limitations but i understand it is no big deal. :)
britgliderpilot
You can install Lock On Gold as many times as you like - the copy protection is based on a CD check. The download version of Lock On has a limited number of activations - five or fifteen, apparently depending on how you do it. However: - A reinstall is NOT a reactivation - You only need to reactivate when you change more than 40% of your hardware - There is a utility save your registry key for Lomac, effectively giving you unlimited installs - ED have your username, password, and record of having bought Flaming Cliffs. If you provide a good reason for having run out of activations, they'll give you a new key. Nobody seems to have managed to crack it yet ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Caretaker
hi, I heard star force allows u to reintall only 5 times is this just for the DL version or the LOMAC gold as well? Only the download version; LOMAC Gold has a CD check included. For obvious reasons, the download version cannot check for the existence of a CD, which is why there's a limit on how often you can install with one key. The 1.11 patch for the CD version also changes the check so that it only requires the CD to be inserted once a week, not everytime you start it.
