Greg Martin

Gregory Martin is entering his fourth year as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football at Davenport University.  He is responsible for designing and implementing the year-round Panther football Strength and Conditioning program.  

Last season, Martin’s Strength and Conditioning program played a pivotal role in the program’s success in year two of the GLIAC. Prior to Davenport University, he served on staffs at Tulane University, Murray State University, the University of Tennessee and Western Michigan University.  During his tenure at Murray State, the Volleyball team was Regular Season and OVC Conference Champions. Martin also spent two years working in the high school setting and ten years in the private sector.

Gregory graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Exercise Science and from California University of Pennsylvania with an M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with an emphasis in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. He holds certificates as a Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting and as a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-PES). Martin has also earned both nationally accredited certifications as Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa-SCCC) and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS). He is a member of the CSCCa and the NSCA.
