8/10

I don't even know if this one needs a spoiler tag honestly. For those who don't know, this is Season 3 of Hidamari Sketch (and each season has some specials too), but otherwise, there's not much to comment on here - it's more Hidamari, for whatever that means to y'all.

The first two seasons are shows I described as "good comfy watching" (back before I started doing even the Twitter versions of these reviews, let alone the fully-fleshed out ones like I do now), and this season's no different. There are new characters that feel like they bring more out of the show without just feeling like new characters for the sake of changing things up - and notably there are still full episodes where they barely feature, and the original cast still shines through more often than not. Also this season has far more cute Sae/Hiro relationship than the previous ones, which I am 1000% here for.

And that's about it, honestly. Obviously can't say much here that the first two seasons don't already cover, but if people are reading this and wondering if Hidamari as a whole is worth it, it is. It's super comfy, never gets boring with the characters and gags, and is just really easy watching. (It also never really does anything super exciting or revolutionary, which is why it's an 8/10, but that's just not the kind of show we're talking about here. It's great at doing what it does, and not much more.)
