The car was shipped from the Morgan factory at Malvern Link, Worcester UK on 14th February 1985 to the Morgan dealer in Kanagawa, Japan.
Originally ‘Nut Brown’ with ‘Stone’ upholstery and trim, the car was resprayed and retrimmed to its present condition, along with a variety of modifications (electrics and exhaust), prior to being imported into Australia in 2015 by an Adelaide dealer. After servicing and ADR compliance modifications it was sold to a gentleman in country NSW.
I purchased the car March 2020 and undertook an extensive overhaul at 21,700 km, including brakes, fuel system, electronic ignition, oil pressure monitoring and inertia fuel cut-off, extensive rewiring, internal lighting, plus I made a new dashboard with Australian Red Cedar veneer.
Dyno tuning produced 143hp/106.6kW @ 5,000 rpm.
