Richie The Maine Coon Is An Enormous And Beautiful Anomaly

Have you ever seen a black smoke Maine Coon before? This super special variety of Maine Coon is known for its unique fur pattern, a black undercoat and white outer fur. When trimmed, these incredible cats can almost resemble baboons in their appearance, although we've heard them also called yeti cats or gentle giants by others, This is where Richie the Maine Coon comes in. Richie, who can be found on Instagram and Tiktok, is an 11-month old blacksnake Maine Coon from France. He's gained quite the following across social media for his incredible appearance and equally iconic personality, such a beautiful cat!

Here at I Can Has Cheezburger we absolutely love Maine Coons, especially when they're as enormous and floofy as Richie is! So you can go ahead and consider this our weekly Maine Coon appreciation post, we're very much ok with Richie filling that quota for us. We truly feel that out of all the giant animals that are gifts to man, Maine Coons are pretty heckin' special. These extra big floofers pack quite the punch, and they're pretty heckin' awwdorable to see in person! They're also loving and caring animals who make great pets, so what's not to love? Anyway, we really hope you enjoy seeing this black smoke Maine Coon at his best!

We know there's a hooman in the photo, but honestly, the first time we saw this photo, we were like, "Is that thing even a cat? Let alone a real animal?" but don't worry folks, we did a lot of stalking and we can now confirm that despite how odd looking he is in appearance and size, this enormous kitty cat is entirely real. We're so happy to hear that, because we've already grown quite attached to Richie.

If any cat deserves their own head shot, it's probably this kitty right here. Just look at that distinctive face with its baboon-like coloring (is it just us who immediately get that connotation?) and you couldn't manage to convince us that this cat isn't a model through and through, it's impossible to say he's not. All we're saying, is if we owned this cat, we would spend all our time and money sponsoring his luxurious lifestyle.
