WAVERLY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Country music singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, made a generous donation to the family whose seven-month-old twins were swept away during catastrophic flooding in Humphreys County, Tennessee.
Infants Ryan and Riliegh were torn away from their father's arms over the weekend as he tried to get them and his other children to safety.
A GoFundMe page has been started to help the family. More than $94,000 has already been raised. Morgane Stapleton made a $10,000 donation to help them out.
The babies' mother, Danielle Hall, told FOX 17 News she left to find help when the floodwaters started rushing into their home.
“I was so worried about my babies. And the whole time I held onto a tree for six and a half hours screaming that I had babies at the house that needed rescue,” says Hall.
Two of their children survived, but the twins did not.
