HGTE-Specification 6k-Mile 2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

This 2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is powered by a 6.0-liter F140 V12 paired with a six-speed F1 automated transaxle and is finished in Nero Daytona over brown leather upholstery. The Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione (HGTE) package was fitted by Ferrari Silicon Valley of Redwood City, California, in October 2009, and the kit incorporates revised settings for the engine software, exhaust, and magnetorheological suspension. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 20″ forged alloy wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, bi-xenon headlights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, rear parking sensors, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, a CD stereo, navigation, carbon-fiber interior trim, aftermarket audio components, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The current owner acquired the car in 2016 and has since added approximately 900 of the 6k miles. Work in March 2023 consisted of servicing the air conditioning system, changing the oil, refinishing the steering column bezel and seat switches, and replacing the battery and cabin air filter. This 599 GTB Fiorano is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Ferrari Vehicle Identification Passport (VIP), factory literature, service records, a battery tender, a tool kit, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the current owner’s name.

The 599 was designed by Pininfarina under the direction of Jason Castriota and featured Ferrari’s first all-aluminum GT car chassis. This example is finished in Nero Daytona and features bi-xenon headlights, side air vents, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, flying-buttress C-pillars, rear parking sensors, and quad exhaust outlets. Damage to the front is listed in a December 2009 entry of the Carfax report. A paint chip on the left side mirror is shown up close in the gallery below.

The 20″ forged alloy wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires that show 2020 date codes and measure 245/35 up front and 305/35 at the rear. The HGTE Package specified a lower ride height with a stiffer rear anti-roll bar and springs as well as revised calibration settings for the magnetorheological dampers. Stopping power is provided by yellow Ferrari-branded multi-piston brake calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated ceramic-composite rotors at each corner.

The power-adjustable Daytona-style seats are trimmed in brown leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and additional appointments include a power-adjustable steering column, a CD stereo, navigation, drilled metal pedals, a JL Audio subwoofer, an Audison amplifier, and dual-zone automatic climate control. An area of discoloration is noted on the dashboard. Sticky interior surfaces were refinished in July 2021, and work in March 2023 included servicing the air conditioning system in addition to replacing the cabin air filter and refinishing the steering column bezel and seat switches.

The carbon-fiber-accented steering wheel features an engine start button and a manettino to control driving settings. Instrumentation includes a 10k-rpm tachometer, a 220-mph speedometer, and a digital display screen. The digital odometer indicates just under 6k miles, approximately 900 of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.0-liter F140 V12 was factory rated at 611 horsepower and 448 lb-ft of torque. A replacement battery was fitted and the oil was changed in March 2023. The valve covers are leaking, according to a March 2023 invoice.
