New to BaT? Learn how it works.

This 2008 Lamborghini Reventón is the fifth of 20 coupes sold during a single year of production and is the sole example delivered new to Canada. The car is said to have spent time in a Canadian collection before being purchased by its current owner in 2023 and imported to the US. Finished in Grigio Reventón over black leather and olive green Alcantara, it is powered by a 6.5-liter quad-cam V12 that drives all four wheels via a six-speed E-gear automated transmission. Additional features include 18” alloy wheels with carbon-fiber fins, carbon-ceramic disc brakes with six-piston calipers, an active rear spoiler, a front lift system, LED exterior lighting, a milled aluminum instrument cluster housing triple TFT LCD displays, a g-force meter, and a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system. This Reventón has just over 450 miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in Thousand Oaks, California, with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title.

The Reventón was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as an evolution of the Murciélago LP640, with which it shared its underpinnings beneath a distinct exterior design that foreshadowed that of the later Aventador model. The Reventón’s production was limited to 20 examples in addition to a single prototype and press car that was retained for Lamborghini’s museum, while a subsequent roadster variant limited to 15 cars was introduced in 2009.

Each Reventón’s carbon-fiber composite body panels were finished in Grigio Reventón, a matte gray shade incorporating metal particles and green undertones. Imperfections in the finish are shown up close in the photo gallery below. Combat-jet-inspired styling incorporates an arrow-shaped nose flanked by protrusive air intakes, asymmetrical scoops ahead of the rear wheels, triple arrow-shaped slats of laminated glass over the engine compartment, and a hexagonal exhaust outlet overtop an angular diffuser. Additional features include scissor doors, an active rear spoiler, active air intakes, bi-xenon headlights surrounded by LED running lights and indicators, and heat-resistant LED triple-arrow taillights.

Gloss black Alcoa forged alloy wheels measure 18×8.5” up front and 18×13” at the rear and feature bare carbon-fiber winglets that assist in brake cooling. Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires measuring 245/35 and 335/30 were mounted in March 2023, at which time all four tire pressure monitoring system sensors were replaced. Stopping is handled by six-piston calipers acting upon cross-drilled and ventilated carbon-ceramic discs.

The cockpit is trimmed in black leather and gray-green Alcantara with arrow-style perforations over the seating surfaces, headliner, and floor mats. Additional features include an exposed carbon-fiber console surface and passenger grab handle, embroidered stencil-type “Reventón” lettering on each door panel, automatic climate control with switchgear behind a flip-up Lamborghini-branded plate, and a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system. The auto-dimming rearview mirror was replaced in March 2023, as was the driver-side door strut.

The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of an instrument cluster housing milled from solid aluminum and wrapped in a carbon-fiber casing. Three TFT liquid crystal displays offer a choice of two display modes, with a g-force meter available in the center screen. The digital odometer shows 457 miles, a few of which have been added under current ownership.

The 6.5-liter V12 was shared with the Murciélago LP640 with its output increased to a factory-rated 641 horsepower for use in the Reventón. Features include a 60° angle between cylinder banks, dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead camshafts on each bank, LIE electronic engine management, and variable intake geometry. The Reventón also featured a larger oil cooler than the LP640. Service in March 2023 by Lamborghini Beverly Hills included the replacement of the alternator and battery as well as an oil change. Invoices from the service note intermittent faults from the lighting control module and recommend replacement of the unit, while stating that a replacement part is on order.

The paddle-shifted six-speed E-gear automated transmission is paired with a Viscous Traction all-wheel-drive system that includes a differential located behind the engine and a central viscous coupling that sends power to the front differential. Suspension incorporates double wishbones and coilover shock absorbers all around, with dual coilover units at each rear wheel. The car is also equipped with a hydraulic front lift system.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other issues and lists exportation and importation to Canada in 2021 followed by events in British Columbia, Ontario, and Montana.

The car has not passed a California emissions test.
