This Mini Modern got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2006 Mini Cooper S has remained in Washington State through the seller’s acquisition in 2023 and was optioned with the Checkmate Package, which added Dynamic Stability Control, fender decals, fog lights, and Checkmate cloth seat inserts. It is powered by a supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Space Blue. The car is also equipped with 16″ Verde wheels, xenon headlights, heated front seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, and automatic climate control. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the throttle body, ignition coil packs, and windshield. This R53 Cooper S has 95k miles and is offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington State title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Space Blue with a silver roof, mirror caps, and hood stripes. It has Checkmate badges and fender decals in addition to xenon headlights, PIAA driving lights with guards, fog lights, a sunroof, a hood scoop, a rear spoiler, and twin center-exit exhaust outlets. The 16″ Verde wheels are mounted with 195/55 Toyo Extensa HP II tires, and the right-rear center cap is missing. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The seller reports the brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2023 along with the control arm bushings.
The heated front seats and a folding rear bench are upholstered in Checkmate cloth and blue leather, while blue trim lines the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes checkerboard-patterned floor mats, a Harman Kardon sound system, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The seller reports a sun visor mirror cover is sagging.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a column-mounted gauge pod with a 150-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, while gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 95k miles, approximately 11k of which were added under current ownership.
The supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four was factory rated at 168 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The alternator was replaced in July 2023, and service under current ownership reportedly included replacing the throttle body and ignition coil packs as well as an engine mount.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transaxle. A fluid leak is noted, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Washington State.
The Washington State title lists a “duplicate” comment.
